Bill on Tibet Signed into Law
US President Donald Trump has signed a bipartisan Bill on Tibet into law that could enrage China, paving the way to impose a visa ban on Chinese officials who deny American citizens, government officials and journalists access to the sensitive Himalayan region, homeland of the exiled Dalai Lama.

Tata Motors Joined Hands with Zoomcar
Tata Motors has joined hands with self-drive rental car firm Zoomcar to offer the electric version of its compact sedan Tigor in Pune city as part of the shared mobility plans.
Under the partnership, Zoomcar expects to deploy 500 electric vehicles in over 20 cities with Tata Motors in the next one year.
Former Indian batsman W. V. Raman was preferred over celebrated South African Gary Kirsten for the position of India's women's cricket coach.
Raman is currently a batting consultant at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) received a shot in the arm with the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) of Upendra Kushwaha, a former constituent of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), joining its grouping in the electorally crucial state of Bihar which sends 40 representatives to the Lok Sabha.
Kushwaha told that his party will contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as part of the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) in Bihar.
Apart from the Congress and the RLSP, the other major parties in the grand alliance are the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM).
Live Streaming Counselling
In a first for a government hospital in the country, Jipmer is all set to introduce live streaming of the counselling process of post-graduate entrance examination in a bid to enhance transparency.
As per Jipmer director Dr. R. P. Swaminathan, with this move, the counselling process would become more transparent and avoid legal issues.
This facility is being done using National Knowledge Network (NKN) internet connectivity provided by National Informatics Centre (NIC) Puducherry.
Infosys appointed Nilanjan Roy as the chief financial officer (CFO) of the company, effective March 1, 2019.
Mr. Roy has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from the University of Delhi and is a chartered accountant. He joins Infosys from Bharti Airtel where he holds the position of global chief financial officer.
Lalrinawma Elected Deputy Speaker
Lalrinawma, who won the Tuikum Assembly seat on Mizo National Front (MNF) ticket, has been elected as the deputy speaker of Mizoram House.
Lalrinawma had also bagged the seat in the 2013 polls.
LinkedIn Appointed Mahesh Narayanan
Microsoft-owned professional networking platform LinkedIn appointed Mahesh Narayanan as Country Manager for India.
Narayanan will assume his new responsibilities from January 2019.
He previously served as the India Managing Director for leading music and audio streaming service Saavn and led Google India's mobile advertising business from 2010-2013.
