Eritrea reopened its embassy in Ethiopia in further evidence of a rapid thaw between two countries that a week ago ended two decades of military stalemate over a border war.
The embassy has been reopened in the capital Addis Ababa in a brief ceremony.
Ethiopia, a landlocked country has the largest economy in East Africa.

Limitations on Cargo Crossing into Gaza
Israel placed new restrictions on its only cargo crossing with the Gaza Strip in response to continued Hamas hostilities, even after it agreed to a cease-fire.
According to Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Israel will cease transferring gas and fuel through the Kerem Shalom crossing until Sunday but will allow food and essential medication to cross. Commercial cargo was suspended last week.

Oman Asked to Cut Customs Duties on Chemical Products
India has asked Oman to cut customs duties on chemical products like dyes to provide greater market access for its goods in that country.
India requested for reduction in customs tariff on Indian chemical products exported to Oman, which is about 5 per cent.
Further, both the countries agreed to obtain their respective internal approvals for early finalisation of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) between the nations.
Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur has been appointed the BJP's chief whip in the Lok Sabha.
The appointment was announced on the eve of the monsoon session of Parliament with Mr. Thakur replacing Ramesh Singh, who has been appointed Madhya Pradesh BJP chief.
