Trump Cautioned against Launching Trade War

German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned U.S. President Donald Trump against unleashing an all-out trade war after he threatened to impose steep tariffs on cars from the European Union.

Ms. Merkel said that both sides were effectively locked in a trade conflict since Mr. Trump's decision to slap punitive tariffs on steel and aluminium imports.

Obama Era Affirmative Action Policies Rolled Back

The Trump administration is abandoning Obama administration policies that called on universities to consider race as a factor in diversifying their campuses, signalling that the administration will champion race-blind admission standards.

In a joint letter, the Education and Justice Departments announced that they had rescinded seven Obama-era policy guidelines on affirmative action which, the departments, said, "advocate policy preferences and positions beyond the requirements of the Constitution".

Major General Dogra Completes Ironman Triathalon

Major General V. D. Dogra became the first serving Indian Army officer to complete the iconic Ironman Triathalon event in Austria.

He is the only serving army officer from the Indian Army to have done a full Ironman and the only General across the globe to have done so.
The Ironman Triathlon considered one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world. It comprises of three consecutive events 3.8 km swim, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km marathon - all to be completed in a day.
The competitors have to complete the events in sequence within 17 hours to earn the title of Ironman.
Dogra completed the Full Ironman in 14 hours and 21 minutes.
