150 Million Years Old Turtle Fossil Discovered

A turtle fossil dating back 150 million years to the Jurassic Period has been found in southwest China`s Chongqing municipality.

Paleontologists from the municipal exploration bureau confirmed it was a fossil of a snake-necked turtle from the Jurassic Period.
Jurassic turtle fossils were previously found in Chongqing and in the neighbouring Sichuan province, but it is the first time that a snake-necked turtle fossil was found in the area.

Axis Bank has put up for sale Lanco Kondapalli Power, which owns and operates 1,476 MW gas-based power plants, as the power producer failed to pay dues.

Without mentioning the name of the company Axis Bank, as a lead banker, called for Expression of Interest (EoI) for the sale of three gas-based power projects with a combined capacity of 1,476 MW.

Kerala Governor P. Sathasivasam flagged off the Olympic Run held in connection with the International Olympic Day celebrations which was organised by Thiruvananthapuram District Olympic Association and Kerala State Sports Council.

Olympic Day Run is an international Olympic Movement activity promoting mass participation of sports held in June organized by National Olympic Committees.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) was formally established on 23 June 1894 through the efforts of Pierre de Coubertin promoting competitive sport as a revival of the ancient Olympic Games.
