EU leaders threw British Prime Minister Theresa May a lifeline in Brexit talks, agreeing to start preparations for the next stage of negotiations.
Ms. May who has struggled to contain divisions in her government since losing her parliamentary majority in a June election, appealed to European leaders to help her make headway in the Brexit talks.
Sharif Indicted Again
Ousted Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was indicted in another corruption case relating to a Dubai-based company, which formed the basis of his disqualification by the Supreme Court in July.
The latest indictment is a follow-up to another one relating to four expensive London flats.
NATO Announces Summit for July 2018
NATO will hold its next summit on July 11 and 12, with the fight against terrorism and the growing threat from Russia expected to be high on the agenda.
According to Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the meeting at the alliance`s new billion-euro headquarters in Brussels would "further strengthen the bond" between Europe and North America.
The 2018 summit comes against a backdrop of increasing concern about growing Russian assertiveness, particularly in the areas of hybrid and cyber warfare.
As per corporate affairs ministry, individuals, partnership entities and companies rendering valuation services under the Companies Act have to be registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) by March 31, 2018.
Registered valuers are also required to be members of the Registered Valuers Organisations recognised by the IBBI.
Sazerac Buys Stake in John Distilleries
John Distilleries Private Limited (JDPL), a leading liquor maker in India, announced that Sazerac Company, a family-owned spirits company in the United States has acquired an equity stake in it.
Sazerac, owners of brands including Fireball, Southern Comfort, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon and E.H. Taylor Bourbon, had acquired an equity stake in JDPL from Gaja Capital, who would continue to remain partially invested in the company.
This strategic partnership marks Sazerac’s entry into the Indian market, one of the largest and fastest growing markets for spirits in the world.
