President Donald Trump has issued a new travel ban that saw North Korea, Venezuela, and Chad among a list of eight countries cited for poor security and lack of cooperation with US authorities.
Trump ordered the new restrictions yesterday to replace an expiring measure that had locked him into political and legal battles over what critics alleged was an effort to block Muslims from entry into the country.
Other countries included in the ban were Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, and Yemen.
Angela Merkel Wins Fourth Term
Chancellor Angela Merkel`s conservatives beat their rivals to win her a fourth term in an election that will also bring a far-right party into Germany`s parliament for the first time in more than half a century.
Merkel`s conservative bloc won 32.5 per cent of the vote, making them the largest parliamentary group. However, that was down from 41.5 per cent in the last election, in 2013.
Essar Ports has invested Rs. 830 crore to upgrade and almost double the iron ore handling capacity of its Vizag Terminal (outer harbour) in Andhra Pradesh.
The capacity enhancement work from 12.5 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) to 23 MMTPA is nearing completion and will be fully operational in November this year.
Trading Ban Revoked on 14 Entities
Regulator SEBI has lifted trading ban on 14 entities which were alleged to have misused the stock market platform for money laundering and tax evasion as it did not find any adverse evidence against them.
So far this month, the watchdog has revoked trading restrictions imposed on more than 750 entities in different cases related to making fictitious long term capital gains (LTCG).
