Paolo Gentiloni Named Italy`s New Prime Minister

Following reformist leader Matteo Renzi`s resignation in the wake of a crushing referendum defeat, Paolo Gentiloni was named as Italy`s new PM.
Gentiloni was asked by President Sergio Mattarella to form a new centre-left government that will guide Italy to elections due by February 2018.

Banks to Keep Deposits Record of Scrapped, Valid Notes

The government asked state-run banks to maintain records of deposits made in denomination of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 and other valid currencies.

23% Jan Dhan Accounts Still Without Balance

Despite a huge surge in total deposits in Jan Dhan accounts following demonetisation, about one-fifth of these still continue to have no balance.
Net addition in the 25.8 crore Jan Dhan accounts was just Rs. 288 crore during the week ended December 7.

As per researchers, this material cannot only withstand the harsh effects of radiation, but also becomes tougher under radiation.

India's First No. 9 to Score a Test Hundred

Jayant Yadav became India's first no. 9 batsman to score a hundred as India.
He made 104 off 204 balls, which included 15 fours.
Yadav became the 16th batsman to score a hundred at No. 9.
The previous highest highest by an Indian at this position was a 90 by Farokh Engineer against New Zealand.

As per AIADMK member and Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha Thambi Durai, Jayalalithaa's confidante Sasikala Natrajan is fit to lead the party in its future endeavours.
There is no difference of opinion within the All India Anna Dravida Kazhagam over the leadership qualities of Sasikala Natrajan.
Senior functionaries of the AIADMK met Sasikala requesting her to lead the party.
