Future Group in Talks to Buy Heritage Foods’ Retail Division
Future Group is in advanced talks to acquire the retail business of Heritage Foods.
This deal would give Kishore Biyani sway over a network of more than 100 grocery outlets in Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru.
If the transaction goes forward, this will be Biyani's fourth acquisition in as many years.
Other purchases since 2012 include the Easyday network from Bharti Retail, New Delhi-based Big Apple and Hyderabad-based Nilgiri's supermarket chain.
Ajman Free Zone Inviting Indian Investors
Senior delegations from Ajman Free Zone, UAE, are visiting Chennai, New Delhi and Mumbai to promote the benefits of investing in Ajman and encourage Indian companies to open new offices there.
The zone offers 100% foreign ownership, repatriation of capital and profits, no corporate tax, no personal income tax and no import duties on goods, low handling charges, easy access to workforce, single window clearances and cheap energy to businesses interested in setting up an offshore company.
India is one of the top three trading partners of the UAE. At present, over 17,000 companies are registered in Ajman Free Zone out of which close to 40% are of Indian ownership.
