North Korea Fires Three Ballistic Missiles

North Korea fired three ballistic missiles into the sea off its east coast.
The missiles were fired into the Sea of Japan (East Sea) from the North`s Hwangju county.
This missile launch came hours after South Korean President Park Geun-Hye and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on the sideline of the G20 Summit in Hangzhou.
China is the North`s sole major ally and economic lifeline but ties have strained recently over the North`s nuclear and missile tests that raised tension on the peninsula.

Soaring Ocean Temperature

According to the most comprehensive analysis yet of ocean warming, the soaring temperature of the oceans is the greatest hidden challenge of our generation that is altering the make-up of marine species, shrinking fishing areas and starting to spread disease to humans.
The oceans have already sucked up an enormous amount of heat due to escalating greenhouse gas emissions, affecting marine species from microbes to whales.
The scale of warming in the ocean, which covers around 70% of the planet, is truly staggering.

SIT Asks RBI to Share data to Check Black Money

Concerned over gaps in monitoring of trade payments, the SIT has asked Reserve Bank to establish an institutional mechanism to track illicit financial flows and share data with other law enforcement agencies, like enforcement directorate, DRI and CBDT.
At present, RBI holds the information with respect to all types of foreign exchange transactions.

Lost Comet Lander Philae Found

The little robot is visible in new images downloaded from the Rosetta probe in orbit around the icy dirt-ball 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.
As per the European Space Agency officials, there is no doubt about the.
Philae was dropped on to the comet by Rosetta in 2014 but fell silent 60 hours later when its battery ran flat.
The discovery comes just a few weeks before controllers plan to crash-land Rosetta itself on to the comet to formally end its investigation of 67P.

India 50 Years Behind on Education Goals

According to a report released by Unesco, India will be half a century late in achieving its universal education goals.
This means the country will achieve universal primary education by 2050, universal lower secondary education in 2060 and universal upper secondary education in 2085.
As per the report, over 60 million children in India receive little or no formal education and the country has over 11.1 million out-of-school students in the lower secondary level, the highest in the world.
