Hillary Clinton made history by clinching the Democratic White House nomination, becoming the first woman to lead a major party in the US Presidential race.
Clinton, who has been Secretary of State, First Lady and Senator from New York, secured her nomination at the Democratic National Convention after a majority of the 4,764 party delegates formally backed her.

NASA's exoplanet hunter has found a bizarre alien solar system that has tiny spaced planets with unique orbits. The system, dubbed as Kepler-80 after its discoverer, is located about 1000 light years away from the Earth.
The study reveals that Kepler-80 consists of four exoplanets and a dwarf star that orbit around the same star with years equivalent to one, three, four, seven and nine Earth days.

Irom has been on a hunger strike since November 2000, demanding the repeal of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA).
Irom Sharmila had earlier rejected Aam Aadmi Party's offer to contest Lok Sabha elections under its banner from the inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat in 2014.
