Theresa May and Andrea Leadsom to Contest for British PM

  • The British Conservative Party elected two women as the final candidates to become Britain`s next Prime Minister replacing David Cameron.
  • The party`s 330 lawmakers elected Home Secretary Theresa May and Energy spokeswoman Andrea Leadsom in the penultimate round of voting in the party`s 2016 leadership contest.
  • For the second time in its history, the next Prime Minister is set to be female when the winning candidate is appointed as head of government in September.

JK Paper Submits Non-binding Offer to BGPPL

  • JK Paper has submitted a non-binding offer (NBO) to BILT Graphic Paper Products Ltd. (BGPPL), an Avantha group company, to acquire two units of the latter located at Ballarpur and Ashti in Maharashtra, which manufacture pulp, paper, paper boards and other paper products.

First Traces of Water Clouds Found

  • Scientists have spotted some traces that support the existence of water clouds outside our solar system.
  • For the first time ever a team of astronomers have succeeded in obtaining the infrared spectrum of brown dwarf, called WISE 0855, that shows strong evidence of clouds of water or water ice outside our solar system.
  • Brown dwarf was first discovered in 2014 and it is five times the size of Jupiter. It is the coldest known object outside the solar system.
