A massive leak of 11.5 million tax documents exposed the secret offshore dealings of aides to Russian president Vladimir Putin, world leaders and celebrities.
An investigation into the documents by media groups, described as one of the largest such probes in history, revealed the hidden offshore dealings in the assets of around 140 political figures, including 12 current or former heads of states.
The records were obtained from an anonymous source by German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung and shared with media worldwide by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.
The leaked documents came from Mossack Fonseca, a Panama-based law firm with offices in more than 35 countries.
Public sector lender UCO Bank has revised lending rates based on marginal cost of funds.
Interest rate for one year loan will be 9.55 per cent while for two years it will be 9.65 per cent.
The rate of interest will be 9.40 per cent for loan of one month duration, 9.45 percent for loans for three month and 9.50 percent for six months.
The lending rate based on marginal cost of funds is lower than base rate in some cases resulting in lower EMIs for borrowers.
A number of banks have shifted to lending rates based on marginal cost of funds.
Adani Wins Queensland Nod
Adani Enterprises Ltd has been granted approval by Australia's Queensland state government to proceed with a proposed A$10 billion ($7.7 billion) project in the Galilee Basin.
As per reports, the approvals gave Adani permission to mine coal reserves estimated at 11 billion tonnes and to build haul roads, workshops, power lines and pipelines associated with the mine.

Virat Kohli was named Man of the Tournament of 2016 ICC World Twenty20, at the award at Eden Gardens.
Kohli scored 273 runs in five innings with a highest score of 89 not out. He scored in a sequence of 23 vs New Zealand, 55* vs Pakistan, 24 vs Bangladesh, 82* vs Australia and 89* vs West Indies, at an average of 136.50.
His grand total was 22 runs behind the tournament's top run getter Tamim Iqbal, who scored 295 runs in six innings with an average of 73.75.
Modi Conferred Saudi Arabia's Highest Civilian Honour
India and Saudi Arabia have agreed to further strengthen cooperation in the fight against terror and Narendra Modi assured Saudi and Indian businessmen that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be rolled out soon.
PM Modi was also conferred with the Gulf kingdom's highest civilian honour, the King Abdulaziz Sash.
World leaders who have received the honour include Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, British Prime Minister David Cameron, US President Barack Obama, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
