Power-sharing Proposal Rejected by Libyan Government
Libya's internationally recognized government has rejected a UN proposal for a power-sharing arrangement with rival Islamist-led authorities that was intended to bring peace to the North African nation.
The internationally recognized parliament will not sign the agreement to form a unity government because the UN refused to exclude amendments added by the Islamist authorities without its consent.
Jack Ma Appointed Business Adviser to UK Prime Minister
Alibaba founder Jack Ma, has been appointed by British Prime Minister David Cameron to advise him on business.
The announcement came the day before a four-day state visit to Britain by Chinese President Xi Jinping and as Britain seeks to boost its business ties with the world's second-largest economy.
India's fourth-largest software services provider HCL Technologies reported a drop of 2.7 per cent in consolidated net profit at Rs. 1,823 crore for the first quarter ended September 30, 2015.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs. 1,873 crore in the year-ago period.
HCL had already warned of a tepid September quarter on account of adverse currency impact and a client-specific issue.
RBI, Central Bank of UAE Sign Information Sharing Pact
The Reserve Bank of India signed an information sharing pact with the Central Bank of UAE.
With this, the Reserve Bank has signed 29 such MoUs, one Letter for Supervisory Co-operation and one Statement of Co-operation.

The Finance Ministry has declared fund donation to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences as tax-free to encourage more donors in the country for the apex health institution.
According to the ministry of finance, those who donate fund to AIIMS will now get 100 percent income tax deduction of donated amount from their taxable income.
The decision was taken after AIIMS was notified as the institute of national eminence by income tax authority.
