Iraq has agreed to set up a cell increasing intelligence coordination with Russia, Syria and Iran in the fight against the Islamic State group.
It`s a committee coordinating between the four countries, with representatives of each country, in the field of military intelligence and aimed at sharing and analysing information.
The Department of Posts is expected to seek Cabinet nod within two months for raising Rs. 292 crore from public investment board to set-up payments bank, for which it has already got the RBI approval.
Payments bank licence will allow companies to collect deposits (initially up to Rs. 1 lakh per individual), offer Internet banking, facilitate money transfers and sell insurance and mutual funds.
Foreign Investors Get Relief from Controversial MAT
With the government deciding to exempt the foreign companies that have no permanent establishment in India from the 18.5 per cent minimum alternate tax demands, all foreign investors have got relief from the controversial MAT.
The finance ministry's clarification this week puts the MAT controversy to rest as all foreign investors without business presence in India, foreign portfolio investors and companies, are now exempted from MAT, irrespective of whether tax treaties exist between India and other countries where these firms may be domiciled.

The United Nations World Tourism Organization celebrated World's Tourism Day since 1980 on September 27. The main aim behind celebrating this day was to create awareness regarding the importance of tourism in the international community.
This year the ministry of culture has announced a free entry for tourists to as many as 200 ticketed monuments and museums across India.
The report further adds that the free entry includes 116 national monuments like Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Qutub Minar, Red Fort and 35 museum sites under the ASI.
Manipur Governor Passes Away
Manipur Governor Syed Ahmed passed away. He was suffering from cancer and admitted to Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra last week.
He was sworn in as the Governor of Manipur on May 16, 2015. Ahmed, a former Congress leader from Maharashtra, was shifted to the north-eastern State from Jharkhand, where he was appointed Governor on August 26, 2011 when the UPA Government was in power at the Centre.
Ahmed joined the Congress party in 1977. He was elected to the Maharashtra Assembly five times from the Nagpada constituency in Mumbai. He also served as a Minister in Maharashtra, where he held portfolios like Housing.
