ICICI Bank has announced its association with Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.com for the launch of a trade facilitation centre, a single window facility to provide easier trade finance to the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in India.
The collaboration for the centre will enable the Indian entrepreneurs, who are members of Alibaba.com, to get quick access to an array of integrated business services from ICICI Bank including business loans, cash management solutions, foreign exchange (forex) transactions, bank guarantees and cross-border remittances, in addition to privileges and discounts.
Hero Group Forays into Electronics
The Hero Group has forayed into the electronics sector with the formation of a new company Hero Electronix' and plans to invest Rs. 500 crore for the purpose in the next few years.
As per reports, as its first strategic initiative, Hero Electronix will acquire a majority shareholding in Mybox Technologies, the multi-operator manufacturer of set top boxes in the country.
Hero Electronix will add associated business lines to its portfolio over the next few years and help India develop a much needed sustainable electronics ecosystem.

A study using data from the joint NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) Cassini mission suggests the Saturn moon Titan's surface indentation that is similar to creation of sinkholes on the Earth.
