West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE)-2013

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board is going to conduct the common entrance examination along with counselling for admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in universities, Govt. colleges and self financed Institutes in the state for the academic session 2013-14.

Application Form
The application form for the examination is available on the website: www.wbjeeb.nic.in
On completion and submission of the personal details, the system will generate a unique 7-digit numeric application number for the candidate.

Mode of Examination (offline):
The candidates need to appear in 3 (three) papers in the form of written test, to be conducted physically at various Examination centres. All are papers are objective with 1/3rd negative marking. The subjects will be: i) Mathematics, ii) Physics & iii) Chemistry.

Date of Examination 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. 12.30 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. 3.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m

Eligibility Criteria:
Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2013 for Engineering and Technology courses.

Residence: The candidate must have been residing in West Bengal continuously at least for last 10 years as on 31st December, 2012

Educational Qualification: Candidates who are appearing for the higher secondary examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination in 2013 but standing to pass the same with these minimum qualification will become eligible after declaration of result of WBJEE-2013.

1. Engineering/Technology/B.Pharm In higher secondary examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) and with at least 30% marks in English
2. Marine Engineering In higher secondary examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination with at least with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together and with at least 50% marks in English either in 10th/12th standard
3. Architecture In higher secondary examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) and with at least 30% marks in English (for all categories of candidates)

Application Fee:
Candidate applying for WBJEE-2013 has to pay application fee Rs 500/- (Rs five hundred) only through online mode (an extra service charge of Rs 6/- has to be paid by the candidates)

Modes of payment:
  1. Payment through Allahabad Bank e-Challan
  2. Payment through e-Post office
After payment, the candidate has to login to the system and upload the details written on the receipt by the post office

When the details are uploaded, the confirmation page will be generated, which will be again filled by the candidate
