| Upper Age limit is 27 years as on 18.01.2014, i.e. candidates born before 17.01.87 need not apply. |
| Educational Qualification: |
Candidates should have passed qualifying degree examination in respective discipline and awarded full time bachelor’s degree in the same discipline with minimum of 65% marks from the recognized university.

| Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-3%-50500 at the basic pay of Rs. 24900/- during one-year training. These candidates will be absorbed after successful completion of training as Assistant Manager in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-3%- 50500 at a basic pay of Rs. 25650/-. |

| The selection process will include the marks obtained (Out of 100) by the eligible candidates in the respective paper of GATE 2014, followed by group discussion and personal interview of the candidates who qualify in the GATE. |
- Interested candidates will have to register and appear in GATE 2014 exam.
- Candidates will receive GATE 2014 Registration number after which they can apply to NTPC ET-2014 on the website www.ntpccareers.net from 20.12.2013 to 18.01.2014.
- Candidates belonging to General/OBC category is required to pay a non refundable registration fee of Rs 150/- whereas SC/ST/PWD candidates need not to pay any fee.
