| Eligibility | ||||||
| Educational Qualification: 1. The candidate must hold a degree in Law and it should be recognised by the Bar Council of India, as on 5th January, 2015. 2. The candidate applying for the examination must be a citizen of India. Age Limit for Applying: • The candidate applying for the examination must have attained the age of 22 years, but his age should not be more than 30 years as on the last date. |

| Methods of Payment of the Fee | ||||||
| By Cash: The candidates who opt for the method "Pay by Cash" should also print their e-Challan that will be generated by the system of Punjab National Bank after applying online for the exam through the Commission's website. The Transaction Number of your transaction, Branch Code of the bank and Date of Receipt given by Punjab National Bank on candidate's copy of e-Challan should be updated before the last date provided in the same Login ID in the Fee Details link on the website. Before applying online, all the candidates are advised to go through the detailed instructions given about the exam and posts on the website mentioned below. Through Credit/Debit/Visa Card: The candidates can also pay the required amount of application fee through their Credit/Debit Card. Payment Gateway for the fees accepts Credit and Debit Cards from Master and Visa Card of any bank. A link to pay the required application fee by Credit or Debit Card is available on the website. |

| Candidates are required to visit http://hp.gov.in/hppsc/ for the "ONLINE APPLICATION FILING SYSTEM FOR HPPSC EXAMINATION". All the candidates, before filling the form up, are advised to read carefully the Advertisement/Notification for the post(s)/Exam(s) and also ensure that he/she is eligible in terms of the conditions/provisions mentioned in the Advertisement/Notification. In case of any guidance/information/clarification regarding their candidature or applications, etc, the candidates can contact HPPSC's Reception Counter near Main Gate of its campus in person or over Toll free Number 1800-180-8004 and Telephone No. 2629738 and 01772624313 on working days between 10:00 AM and 05:00 PM. Please follow the steps determined for filing online applications. |

| Centres of Examination | ||||||
| The Preliminary Examination will be held at Shimla and Dharamshala in Kangra District (Only if sufficient number of candidates opt for the Dharamshala as their examination centre). The centres of holding the examination as mentioned above are liable to be cancelled/ changed at the discretion of the Commission. Required effort will be made by the Commission to allot the candidates to the centre of their choice for the examination. However, the Public Service Commission at their discretion may allot a different centre to a candidate, depending on the circumstances. |
