The (ICAI) is conducting the Common Proficiency Test on 16th June, 2013 across 142 centres in India and 5 overseas. The test will be conducted in two sessions.
The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is open only to those candidates who are already registered with (ICAI) for the said course on or before 2nd April, 2013 and fulfils the requisite eligibility conditions.
First session 10.30 am to 12.30 pm
Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting
Section B: Mercantile law
Second session 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm
Section C: General economics
Section D: Quantitative aptitude

Last date of receipt for completed CPT application at Delhi office is 24th April, 2013

Application
Offline application:
The candidate can apply for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) through the form that is included in the Information Brochure. The candidate can obtain the Information Brochure from the address given below on payment of Rs. 1000/-(Rs.500/- towards examination fee and Rs. 500/- towards cost of application form and Information Brochure) per application form.

Online Application:
The candidate can fill the application form for CPT exam online at the link given below from 3rd April 2013 (10 am) to 24th April 2013 (5.30 pm) and remit the fee online by using VISA or MASTER credit/ Debit card.
The candidate will not be charged Rs. 500 (i.e. cost of application form fee) if he applies online.
