| Eligibility Criteria | ||||||||||||||
| The candidates appearing for CLAT exam 2015 must fulfill the eligibility criteria before appearing for the exam. The details of the eligibility criteria are mentioned below: For UG Courses: The candidates appearing for the exam must have passed/appearing in the class 12th or equivalent from a recognised board and should have scored an aggregate of 45% and 40% in case of reserved category. The candidate appearing for the CLAT exam 2015 should be below 20 years (22 years in case of SC/ST/PD) of age as on 1st July, 2015. For PG Courses: The candidates appearing for CLAT 2015 must have obtained an LL.B degree or any other equivalent degree as mentioned in the guidelines of the exam conducting authority. The candidates must have scored minimum of 55% aggregate in the LL.B program or any other equivalent degree course and for reserved category candidates, the percentage criterion is 50%. The candidates who have passed the qualifying exam with supplementary or compartment are also eligible, but they have to submit the proof of passing the qualifying examination with 55/50% or as applicable. |

| For UG Courses: The total number of questions will be 200, each question carrying 1 mark. The total time allowed for the question paper is 2 hours. The questions will be asked from the following areas: • Reasoning – 40 Q • Legal Aptitude – 50 Q • English and Comprehension – 40 Q • Elementary Mathematics – 20 Q • General Knowledge and Current Affairs – 50 Q There will be a provision for negative marking (-0.25) for every wrong answer. For PG Courses: The question paper will consist of 150 multiple choice questions of one mark each. Thus, the paper will consist of total 150 marks and the duration of 2 hours. The candidate must note that for every objective type question, 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The paper will comprise of questions from the following areas: • Constitutional Law – 50 Q • Jurisprudence – 50 Q • Other law subjects – 50 Q |
