Rock and roll music was and continues to be influential. The lecturer and the passage both agree with this. As lecturer states that rock and roll music was first generous music. It is also a sense of belongings to teens. According to the passage, African-American and white American teens enjoyed the music.
The lecture and the passage both agree on the point that Rock and roll music influenced lifestyles, fashion, attitudes and even languages. According to the lecturer, it was shared between both black and white. Moreover, people start using slang languages. The passage states that rock and roll music served to bring white and black youths together as audiences, as the black performers reached out to a white audience and white performers made use of African American music.
At last, the new music tried to break boundaries and express many of the emotions that people were feeling, but had not talked about. The passage states, the topic of *** began appearing in lyrics. The lecturer illustrates this by giving an example of a girl who was dating a boy but left him for a boy who like romantic music.
