Independent Writing Topic : People attend college or university for many different reasons. Why do you think people attend college or university. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Education is a powerful weapon with which you can change the world. It is a very enlightening experience to get educated. For this purpose we seek schools, colleges and universities. Colleges are regarded as the temples of learning. People attend college or university for many different reasons like gaining experience, career preparation or for the purpose of increasing knowledge.
Students who have attended high schools, they take admissions in undergraduate colleges for the purpose of gaining experience and getting specialisation in their respective streams like engineering, medical, commerce or humanities. Colleges provide them an altogether new experience and provide them with the necessary skills. The environment of colleges or universities is pretty much different from high schools and the students get a chance to interact with people of different languages, cultures and attitudes. So it leads to all round development of the student.
Another reason for which people attend colleges or universities is keeping in mind their career perspectives as better the college is, the more are the chances that they get placed in good companies. The roots of our career lie in the college in which we study as competition is ubiquitous nowadays. Universities and colleges provide the students with the necessary academic environment like laboratories, training and incubation cells, libraries and research experience as well. Moreover students get a chance of internships in which they gain the practical experience of life and get to know how any organisation works.
So in nutshell, I would like to state that different people have different reasons for attending colleges or universities. Some like to gain practical experience, some want to increase their skills and command on the subjects of their interests, and some join colleges for the sake of getting more job opportunities.

Kritika, this is olay, but you don't state your main idea or points and this makes it difficult to understand what you are trying to say? For instance, why are "you" going to university? Use your own personal examples to illustrate why.
