This topic discuss about animal self recognition like how animals react when they saw themselves in the mirror.it gives information that self recognition is same as self awareness.Tests are performed on many animals and their results are consistent but for the chimpanzees result are inconsistent.
At first,in mark test performed on eleven monkeys the result of ten monkeys matched but the result of the eleventh monkey confound the result when the ten monkeys did not touch the mark after seeing it in the mirror while on the other hand eleventh monkey rubbed his head and face before seeing the mark in the mirror.
Furthermore,when mirror is placed in the cage of monkey then its reaction after seeing the mirror indifferent while the monkey in the next cage is looking for another monkey through its cage's window.Moreover monkeys also look for self grooming.
