Independent wrting topic-127 - Different people have different tastes. some enjoy reading the novels while for others watching movies is of great interest. In my opnioin, reading short stories and novels is more enjoyable than watching movies. Reading novels helps you to visualise the things on your own. things can be imagined more precisely. reading generates the potential to think about what is written. sometimes while reading such things can be imagined which the movies cannot show. this generates more interest to know further about the story. like some movies are made on the basis of novels, for example the ***** harry potter is based on the novel. what i experienced is that reading the novel was really more enjoyable. you wonder how a particular thing could happen and imagine lots of strange things, sometimes even funny In addition to this reading helps to visualise the things in a broader way. While reading we make the pictures and scenes in our mind. The movies donot show each and every detail that a novel or a story presents. For eg: THE SECRET, its a big novel which is really inspiring . A documentry film based on this novel, nodoubt is really helpful in understanding the way to live life. But it is a small movie.On the other side the information provided in the novel is vast. Reading it was more exiciting than watching the documentry. Also reading could be more helpful in learning. As it can improve the reading skills as well as it could be even a fun to view the things in your own way. So, according to me reading provides more entertainment, interest and complete understanding of the story as compared to the movies which are short and focus only on some portion. That's the reason why i agree with the statement that reading fictions or non-fictions is more enjoyable than watching movies.
