The following essay is about the topic of pruning.Pruning refers to the cutting of the dead,or living branches of a tree.This is done intentionally to improve the tree health,structure or growth.Trees grow more vigourously with a few healthy branches than a many small, weak branches.the beast time for pruning is late winters or early spring.However pruning needs to be done in a controlled manner to ensure proper growth of the tree.

 

There are several reasons for pruning like removal of diseased ,dead or broken branches , removal of branches that rub against each other.It is also done to hold the tree within its limits and ensure larger production of flowers and fruits.However bad pruninfg causes a lot of problems.There is a common misconception that pruning leads to slower growthn of the tree,but instead it increases the rate of growth and tree reaches the its earlier level in just a few years.also the part of the tree pruned is subject to several diseases,infections and insects.THe main piciple involved in the process of pruning is that cutting of new growing tips leads to side branching.The crowded branches do not grow and this leads to competition amongst the small and large branches.Therefore it is necessary to cut this small branches to avoid thid competition.However during pruning a large number of leaves are also cut which may lead to starvation.Pruning oftems leads to creation of new but weak branches which can be a hazard because it can fall down any time and cause a lot of damage.Bad pruning can make a beautiful tree into a hazardous one.

 

Pruning is an important because it ensuers that a tree grows within a limited range and it does not cause problems however it is necessary that the pruning should be done in a such as manner that it does not harm the tree.THerefore it is necessary to utilize good pruning practise because it can lead improvement in the beauty of the tree.
