Topic: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
A person should never make an important decision alone.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

There is no easy and straight answer to the argument regarding the decisions to make alone. I beleive the circumstances and situations play an imperative role to decide whether decision should be made individually or with help of collective thoughts of other people. Therefore, I would not like to take any strong position in support or against the argument.

Although, many people beleive that many personal decisions should be made individually so that the person can not blame on others on any positive or negative consequences of the decision made. This is fair point and truly justifies that personal decisions should come from one's own indenpent school of thoughts. However, there could be many situations in which one can seek others thought and decide on what others agree. For instance, a person gets opportunity to change job or get promotion in an another organisation that requires to move from his/her family home,  it would be more wise for that person to make decision not alone but with a cosent of all family members such as spouse, children. Particularly, decisions when made alone can bring negative repercursions that can jeopardise one's family life.

Nonetheless, some situations have charatceristics that requires one to make decisions indpendently. Specfically, high officials in governments such as Presidents, or Prime Ministers have to make hard and tough decisions alone, and quite often, at few odd times, they make thier decisions alone. Inspite of they have option of making decisions collectively, they make decisions for greater goodness or such decisiions have long term positive impacts on society. For example, majority of parliamentrians including those in his own political party, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh made his own personal decision to pass the Nuclear Energy bill at any cost in the assembly. Had the Prime Minister listened and agreed to opponenets, history would have judged the Prime Minster as weak leadership.

To sum up the argument presented mentioned above, it really depends what the situations and circumstances are. No body is perfect to make all decisions right, but one should respect the other views and get consent whenever its utterly required. In addition, if a person makes his/her own decision indpependetly, he or she should not blame to others and should show the sense of maturity by beleieving self responsible if things go wrong with disatrous decisions.

Prabhjot, This is a great discussion and is absolutely a model essay. There is only one mistake I can see made here and that it the word "believe", which you've misspelled. Besides that, this is a great essay. Most definitely a model essay!
