A train starts with the speed of 70 km/hr with its speed increasing every two hours by 10 km/hr. In how many hours will it travel a distance of 350 km?

Given speed of the train at starting point = 70 km/hr Distance covered in the first two hours = 2 x 70 = 140 kms Distance covered in next two hours = 2(70 + 10) = 160 kms Distance covered in next half hour = 0.5(80 + 10) = 45 kms Total distance covered = 140 + 160 + 45 = 345 kms Therefore, the total time taken to cover the distance of 345 kms = (2 + 2 + 0.5) = 4.5 hrs
