Hi Guys, This is good to see some discussion on essay topic , however please find below the list of CSE essay asked in 2011- 1. Creation of smaller states and the consequent administrative , economic and developmental implication 2. Does Indian Cinema shape our popular culture or merely reflect it 3. Credit – based higher education system – status , opportunities and challenges 4. In the Indian context , Both human intelligence and technical intelligence are crucial in combating terrorism so it seems tht cinema is out of question , as it will be more or less repetiotion, also try to identify the rational behind other topics why they were asked for the year ? so that we will be in a better position to identify topics for this year.
Lets not forget about the various scams that was in the news recently...Corruption in India...a good topic for essay, I would say.

Hi Gkp thanks for sharing your thoughts on last years essay questions, i would agree with you that cinema topic is highly unlikely since it had appeared last year. Terrorism is a recurring theme and issue worldwide and recently there were terrorist attacks in some nordic countries as well.. i suppose it is not mandatory that the essay topics will be from very recent CA, it could be on issues of this decade or last few years that have had an impact on world affairs
