no its not too necessary to read the whole column..u can go through selected sections but that should be retained in ur head.generally we forget the part which we have read less and remembder some of the parts of the full column read.so reading entire column is better.and mainly the editorials.some magazines such as frontline,chronicles etc. are good.business magazines do also give a lot of stuffs.go through those to gain knowledge.

try not to read lines in mind when reading. simply move ur eyes over lines. practice well, u will surely gain with this trick. to get started try reading online news or articles.

Hi Aruna, I wud say dont get very hassled as dat will surely bring d speed even further down. Just get into d habit of leisure reading, dat will automatically improve ur overall reading speed..
