The word 'Law' evokes the sight of a blind-folded statue, holding a scale, as depicted in the Bollywood movies. Lawyers have for long been understood (or should we say, misunderstood) as persons in black, always trying to turn grey into black or white, depending on which side they are. The fact remains that many of our great leaders including Mahatama Gandhi, Moti Lal Nehru, Jawahar Lal Nehru, in spite of being lawyers, could not give this profession its due as a career choice.
Not any more. Thanks to the contribution of some prestigious institutes, which took up the responsibility of giving 'Law' the pedestal it deserves. Law has earned its legitimate place of a shining star in the galaxy of the modern careers. The concepts of liberalization and globalization have also opened a whole gamut of opportunities in the International Arena for Law professionals. The opportunities, after pursuing a course in Law, are enormous. Some of these opportunities are as/in
- Judicial services
- Civil services
- Legal consultants
- Teachers
- Advocates
- Writers
Law has come up as an amply rewarding career in terms of prestige, adventure, learning, and of course, money.
