UPSC, National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (II), 2012

 

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online applicationsfor admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy Examination (II), 2012 Examination. NDA, UPSC Examis scheduled for Sunday, the 19th August, 2012. The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B.Tech Course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies.

Important Dates:
Opening date for online registration 5th May, 2012
Last date for online registration 4th June, 2012 till 11.59 PM
Date of Examination 19th August, 2012

No. of Posts: The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be 355 [(195 for the Army, 39 for Navy, 66 for the Air Force and 55 for Indian Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme)].
(*) Vacancies are provisional and may be changed depending on the availability of training capacity of National Defence Academy.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications (As on 1st Nov., 2011): -
For Army wing of National Defence Academy 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Note: Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Age Limit, Sex and Marital Status:
Only Unmarried Male Candidates Candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1994
Candidates born not later than 1st January, 1997

Application Fee (Non refundable):
For SC/ST/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/Ors Candidates Nil
For Other Candidates Rs. 50
