Directions: Answer the following.

1.      The sum of two numbers is 45 and their difference is 15. Find the numbers.

4.      The difference between two numbers is 5 and the difference between their squares is 45. Find the

numbers.
6.      The sum of two numbers is 1000 and the difference between their squares is 256,000. Find the

12.    The sum of two numbers is 700 and the difference between them is 400. Find the two numbers.
13.    The difference between two numbers is 4 and the difference between their squares is 80. Find the
numbers.
14.    Each side of a square is increased by 10 inch. If the perimeters of the new and old squares are in the
ratio of 3:2, find the perimeter of the old square.
15.       The sum of four consecutive multiples of 5 is 1030. Find the four consecutive multiples.
