The answer to this question should be option b .you have solved it correctly till the end and in the last step you have not written 4 in the denominator after cross multiplying . it should hence be option b .please tell if i am wrong or right ?

This g mentioned in the equation provided in the solution is the value of acceleration due to gravity at poles. the value of g at equator is Rw^2 less than g.
