The equation of a straight line passing through (3, – 2) and making equal intercepts on the axis is

x + y – 1 = 0
x + y – 5 = 0
3x – 2y + 1 = 0
None of these
Please type your answer before submitting.

Since intercepts are equal so take , a=b where a= x- intercept and b= y- intercept
and the line which is intercept form x+y=a
and this line passing through the point (3,-2) , substitute these x and y values in the above equation
3-2=a => a=1
there fore required line x+y-1=0
