Let the age of the first child born be \'x\' By data, youngest child is ( x-2) thus total age of people in family is 4*24=96 x+ ( x-2) + 96 =144 ( total age presently is 5*24 =144) X = 25 And youngest is 25 -2=23

10 yrs ago, average age=24 total age=4*24=96 presently= 96+40+x+x-2=24*6 and x=5 so yongest child=3
