The choice of institutions available is varied and in abundance. It can be quite an overwhelming task to select the best suited. As it is an important decision that influences your future, you should look out for the following:
  1. Shortlist options:
Once you plan to take the IELTS exam, meet our counsellor immediately. Collect information about options you believe are suitable for you and mutually compile a list. Check out the college brochures and website. Also try to speak to parents of students already studying there.

If required your counsellor can also fix up a tele/video conference with the college authorities (subject to availability of the official).
  2. Check the credentials:
The quality of education of the institution is an important aspect to be considered. So, knowledge about its history, ranking and accreditation from an approving body is helpful.
  3. Find out more about the facilities:
Consider an institute with good infrastructural facilities. Though it does not guarantee an excellent result, it does lead to rich learning experience you are going abroad for.

Assess the hostel facility on the quality and security it offers to its students. If applying for a private accommodation or staying with a relative, do consider the travel time between residence and institution. It is advisable to furnish complete information to your counsellors at the outset to enable them choose the best institute for you.
  4. Budget the expenses:
Studying abroad is expensive and you might just have limited resources. Hence, collect information about scholarship options offered by institutes, and education loans offered by banks to budget out the entire cost involved in the course duration.
